(01) On the craft

On the live show, the light,
and the truth.

I am Vicin Ruiz, a photographer in Granada. After years of portraits and personal projects, I have found my place in the photo pit. Live music does not pose: it is lived, and my job is to be there at the right moment.

FIG. 02 — The live show, Granada, 2026

(02) — How I work

I started photographing portraits and long projects, where patience is everything. Live music asked me for the opposite: reflexes, instinct, and light that changes every second. Both made me the photographer I am.

↳ On the why

For years I have been collecting concerts in Granada: small venues, festivals, tours. I was always the one in the crowd with the camera. One day I decided to cross to the other side and tell the shows from within.

↳ On the craft

Portraiture taught me to look at people. Live music taught me to look at the instant. I combine both: I look for the artist in their truest moment, with the light the venue gives them.

↳ On access

Every venue is a world. I adapt to the pit, the barrier or the crowd, always without getting in the way and without flash. The best live photo is the one that interrupts nothing.

↳ On Granada

Granada has a living scene: venues with character, festivals that grow and bands that sound beyond. I want to be the photographer who tells their story.
